Chicago Eater: Nancy’s, the Stuffed Pizza ‘Inventor,’ Plans a Chicago Comeback

Chicago’s own self-proclaimed “inventor” of stuffed pizza — Nancy’s Pizza — plans to take a large bite out of the pizza scene, beginning in the West Loop. Nancy’s parent company Chicago Franchise Systems, which also owns the Al’s Beefs, is working on a full-service flagship restaurant with a full bar at 1000 W. Washington Blvd. which could only be the beginning of the brand’s expansion, Crain’s reports. The chain is also focusing on openings in Southern Illinois and the Atlanta area, as well as 10 forthcoming stores in North Carolina.
